ONE-SIDED DREAMS

One-sided dreams
It seems
Make life’s norms
Impossible.
A storm of change
And indecision.
A quest.
A test.
The rest?
A sort of mere existence
Between illusions
Of total peace
And aspirations

To be whole
The soul
Seeks and searches
In mosques and churches
The goal?
To love.
Be loved.
It takes its toll
We look self in the eye.
We cry
We show
What we already know
Long before
We’re called to die.
