NOBODY OWNS ME

 Nobody owns me
Not my heart
Not my soul
Not my dreams
Not my vision
Nor my ultimate goal
 
Nobody owns me
The things I desire
Nobody owns
To what I aspire
Nobody owns
My time
Nor my taste
Nobody owns
What I choose
To waste
 
I own all that I have
What I've had
What I’ll get
But yet
I’d share all that I have
What I am
And will do
With one special person
That someone
Is you.
