MY ANGER BURNS
My anger burns
I resent
Destruction that this land
Has rent
Torn apart
By bitter fear
This land
My land
Once held so dear
My anger burns
I despise
My country burning
Before my eyes
Will peace come?
Perhaps respite
Without another
Bloody fight
My anger burns
I’m incensed
To live a life
That’s barb-wire fenced
Freedom won
Can freedom last?
Has the time
For freedom past?
