IN A GARDEN

In a garden I see
The context of All
From seedling to sapling
Through spring
And through fall
I see life as a cycle
Not a start and an end
A privilege my being
Every minute I spend
Awake and alive
Aware of the power
Around me and in me
Through each passing hour

The universe vast
With which I am one
Before life and after
My task’s never done
To be what I can
To give what I am
To grow for the good
Of creation

In a garden I see
The full process of life
I see power and passion
I see death
I see strife
A reflection of all
That surrounds me each day
An eternal progression
That leads to - or may
A far greater being
To a reason">

An eternal progression
That leads to - or may
A far greater being
To a reason, a cause
So I stop, look and listen.
I reflect.
Then I Pause.
