FOR CAREER WOMEN

 Out there in the world
In which we live
And work, and play,
They say
That women have an equal right
And might,
Without a fight,
Rise, to an even plane
To that domain
Held by men.
But then,
That's not true.
Few are given
Due respect.
They expect
Simply, that she
Takes her place
In the race.
Or lies, or lies.
Then cries
Tears of deep remorse.
Of course
She's hurt.
She's treated just like dirt.
And even
A harmless flirt
Is to some a sign
That good times
Can be had.
How sad.
Just be glad
You have your values
And your dignity.
See them for who
They really are.

Far from being corporate kings
You run rings
Around them
In human terms.
Although every sinew
Inside you aches,
Knowing you have all
And more
Of what it takes.
You are a better person.
You have a greater skill.
Just wait a while.
Until !
Until !
