DANGEROUS GLANCES
4-08-2001

Dangerous glances
Taking chances
Flitting and flirting
Through this fickle, futile night.
But it might manifest
In short-lived joy
A mere ploy
To ward off the woes of the week
The one past
Or the one just begun
Starting or parting
Elating or devastating
Giving, taking or living life
Taking strife in one’s stride
Without having to hide
From realities.
No wonder the light dances
In your eyes
When you flash
Your dangerous glances
