All That I Need To See
I see all that I need to see
In the sea of faces
In places like this.
Moving to music;
Swaying to rhythms
And musical rhyme
Sublime times
Yet fickle in their fleeting moments
Snapshots of reality;
In a world of adaptable morality
I’m free,
Yet chained by social convention
And the retention of set-in ways
Days spent in dazed acceptance
But all I see
Is apathy and acrimony
A bitter-sweet dichotomy
From which, right now
I choose to flee.
